Aarre Merikanto ( Helsinki , 29 June 1893 — died september 29, 1958) was a Finnish composer. His father was the composer Oskar Merikanto. Merikanto has not finished his school, he was convinced that he could better focus on composing music. His first opera at the age of 18 went in premiere.
